The celebration of life after the service at the crematorium will be held at

Motorhomes are welcome to stay there overnight

Ken, can you add us to the list please?

We would like to attend Peter's funeral if possible, staying over at The Coopers Arms in the MH. 
Unfortunately, we are not 100% sure at this stage if Rita will be well enough to travel, having very recently had surgery, but at least one of us will be there to pay our respects. 

We are assuming that we book direct with The Coopers Arms.

No need to book Jock, it's all been arranged

We have some transport arranged but with so many on the list now we will also need a taxi or two, I have a local number

May be cheaper to contact the local coach company and get a price for a coach with at least 12 seats. I've driven a 16 seat coach for local coach company - bit longer than motorhome.

Alan Talbot has been helping me out with this has he lives locally, he says minibuses are hard to get hold of at this time because they are used on school runs, will speak to him tonight

Could the first person who arrives at the Coopers Arms please go and speak to the manager and ask where he would like the motorhomes to park, he has been very kind letting us stay there

From Peters daughter

For all of the family and friends of Peter Lea  who will be joining us next Tuesday, we'd love you to join us after the service to share your memories of Dad at a celebration of his life.

This will be held at The Coopers Arms, Weston Hall, The Green, Weston on Trent, Derbyshire DE72 2BJ. It will be great to see you all.

Dad didn't want the funeral to be an all-black affair, so please add a splash of colour to your outfit if you can.

I think I will probably arrive about 5pm

Looking at reviews etc about Coopers Arms it appears it is easily missed so will have to keep eyes peeled.

Reading Peter's daughters comment I am adding blue to my outfit - I understand Peter's favourite colour.

This is what Alan Talbot sent me earlier

If you get on the a50 at Sudbury follow that through to the derby A6 junction turn right at the roundabout heading towards Shardlow take first right for Aston on trent ,turn right in the village after the post office follow that road for about a mile turn right by the green(wooden bus shelter) then it's just up the lane.!!

minibus arranged £5 per person, 15 seats

Thank you Ken for arranging minibus. £5 is  cheaper than taxis would have been.

Thank Alan Talbot, he's got a minibus from work, originally got quotes of £70 for an 8 seater and couldn't do time we wanted so would have to wait at crematorium for half an hour, taxis wanted £25 each way

I'll pop over Monday night,Tuesday I will get there about 13.30 to pick up so we can get to the crem for about 14.00 ,if I don't see everybody Monday can you please be ready for when I get there,thanks

It's a sad day today as we say goodbye to a very dear friend Peter Lea, a founder member of Motor-Homers who did a lot for our club, he will be missed by many but we'll never forget him, we'll raise a glass to you on every rally Peter, RIP mate

But also we were 16 friends there to say our fairwells to a lovely gent.
The service was beautiful
Music and photos and friends from different parts of Peters life
Peters family did him proud


Later in the evening
We did what Peter would have done and had had a few bevvies

Peter may be be Gone but will not be forgotten xxxxxxxx

Thanks for posting Polly, and we are glad that Peter had a good send off, from those who cared. 

It is unfortunate that we couldn't make it in the end, although Pauline & Family, and Ken & Adele are aware of the circumstances.
